What we need is raising awareness, Enlightment and education of the entire worldwide society, beginning from schools. To be critical, to be openminded and to handle for the society as whole.

Technology can become beneficial only for umanity if it's awaken from Dark Middle Age (and as I see, it's still a long ways to go).
