How to become a Top Writer on Medium…

…and to keep writing about things you like.

TThis is an undeniable fact: Medium is at the moment THE global publishing platform. Better than WordPress or other blogging systems. More democratic than big news portals. Diverse and full of different ideas, with controversial opinions and bright minds.

Often you begin as a reader, and then — here you are, being inspired, writing post after post. This transfer — from reader to writer — requires a mindset change. Now you want to reach your target group, to gather readership, to get heard.

The first — and essential — a milestone to achieve is: awareness. And being Top Writer means your texts have more chances to be curated and to appear in the fields of interest — i.e., they can better reach readers with the same mentality and affinities.

I had the same situation one year ago, as I have officially begun with the Medium Membership program. I had my Medium blog for years but never did it seriously till now. Now, after a year, I became a top writer in the topics “Art” and “Artificial Intelligence”. How have I done it?

Here are three crucial things I’ve learned.
