#EdgeAI is a very interesting concept. Is it possible to apply the available devices (like smartphones and tablets) as Edge AI — with using hardware GPU, and running TensorFlow directly?

Even if you probably have to root your phone, but are there some kind of double-boot for Android? Or even Android-based environments (which probably would be not really stable, though)?

This could revolutionize the whole DL landscape with mobility of researchers, their independence from locally anchored hardware etc. This could also democratize AI development.
